Education, not medical care
Shared Clarity Consulting is an education company. It is not a medical practice, and it does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or clinical care of any kind. Everything we publish, teach, and sell is general health education intended for a broad audience. It is not a recommendation for any specific person, and it is not tailored to your health, your history, or your circumstances.

No physician-patient relationship
Cora Spaulding, MD, MPH is a licensed physician. When she teaches or writes for Shared Clarity, she is not acting as your physician, and she is not acting on behalf of any clinical practice. Reading our materials, attending a program, sending us a message, or purchasing a product does not create a
physician-patient relationship and does not make you a patient of Dr. Spaulding or of any practice with which she is affiliated.

Not a substitute for your own clinician
Our materials are designed to help you have better conversations with the clinicians who care for you. They are not designed to replace those clinicians. Always talk with your own physician or qualified health professional before making decisions about your health, and never disregard or delay professional
medical advice because of something you read or heard from us.

Urgent concerns
If you think you may be having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not wait, and do not use our materials as a guide.

Results vary
Health outcomes depend on factors we cannot see or control. Nothing we publish is a promise, guarantee, or prediction of any particular result. Where we share the experience of a program participant,
that experience is theirs alone and is not typical or expected.

A note on weight and wellbeing
Some of our materials discuss weight, food, and health. If your relationship with food, eating, or your body feels distressing, that deserves individual care from someone who can work with you directly.

Please reach out to your clinician or a licensed mental health professional. The National Alliance for Eating Disorders offers a free helpline staffed by licensed therapists at (866) 662-1235, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm ET.
